About Us — The Team Behind Best Vibration Plates UK
We read the studies first. Then we test the plates.
Best Vibration Plates is an independent UK editorial site started by a physiotherapist who got tired of patients buying machines based on celebrity Instagram posts. Every review is published on the same principle: research first, marketing last.
Our mission
To help UK adults make calm, evidence-led decisions about home exercise equipment — without the noise of sponsored content or affiliate-funded "rankings" that exist only to push the highest commission.
We publish what the research says, what we measured, and where we'd spend our own money. When we get something wrong, we update it publicly. When a brand offers us a free unit, we either return it or disclose it prominently.
The humans behind the reviews
Jasmine Sinclair
MCSP-registered physiotherapist with twelve years of clinical practice, including five in NHS musculoskeletal outpatients in London. Founded the site in 2021 after watching too many patients waste money on poorly chosen equipment.
David Okonkwo
Level-4 personal trainer and former rugby strength coach. Writes our workout protocols and tests every plate against actual programming, not manufacturer claims. Based in Manchester.
Dr Ruth Pemberton
GP with a special interest in lifestyle medicine and women's health, practising in the Cotswolds. Reviews every health-claim article before publication — including contraindications, dosing protocols, and red-flag symptoms.
How we test
Every plate goes through the same four-stage process. No exceptions.
Read the literature
Before testing, we identify the specific health claims relevant to a plate's category and find the peer-reviewed sources behind them.
Verify the specs
We measure actual frequency output, motor power draw, and platform amplitude with calibrated equipment — and compare against the manufacturer's claims.
Live with it for 21 days
Each plate is used in a UK home for at least three weeks, by users of varying weights and fitness levels. We track noise, floor transmission, and reliability.
Test the warranty
We contact UK customer support — anonymously — to assess response times, replacement policies, and whether the warranty actually applies in practice.
Independence statement
We participate in the Amazon Associates programme and earn commission on qualifying purchases. No brand has ever paid for placement, ranking, or favourable coverage. Where products are provided free for testing, we disclose it on the relevant review and either return the unit or make a charitable donation equivalent to its retail price.
If you spot something we've got wrong, please contact us — we update articles publicly and credit reader corrections in the changelog.
