Power Plate MOVE Review (UK 2026): Is the Premium Worth It?
In short: The Power Plate MOVE is the entry model from the brand with the longest track record in whole-body vibration. It is well built and well supported. It also costs around £3,495 at UK list price, roughly ten times a capable budget plate, and for home use that gap is very hard to justify. It makes more sense for clinics, studios and buyers who specifically want the brand.
A correction, stated plainly. An earlier version of this page priced the MOVE at £1,500 and built its whole argument on that number. That price was wrong. Power Plate UK lists the MOVE at £3,495 RRP, and when we checked in September 2026 it was on offer at around £2,620. The same earlier version quoted dimensions, weight, noise levels and a maximum user weight that do not match Power Plate’s published specification, and it described testing that did not take place. All of that has been removed, and the title, which also carried the £1,500 figure, has been corrected.
Power Plate is the original premium brand in this category. The underlying research goes back further than the brand does: Vladimir Nazarov’s Soviet research on vibration and muscle, which reached European sports science in the early 1990s. Power Plate itself was founded in 1999. Decades of use in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and elite sport have given the brand an unusually deep published research base for a consumer fitness company.
Verdict
The MOVE is good kit. That is not the question. The question is what the premium buys, and for a home buyer the honest answer is: build quality, service, and the brand, rather than better results.
We have not tested this plate. What follows is Power Plate’s published specification and the current UK market position, not a hands-on review, and we have removed the rating this page used to carry because there was no testing behind it.

Two things worth knowing before you buy. The MOVE is not continuously adjustable, so if you want to dial in a specific Hz figure, this is not the plate for it. And the warranty terms differ between Power Plate’s own regional sites and its UK retailers, so get the warranty confirmed in writing by whoever you buy from.
What the premium actually buys
Build and service. A Power Plate is engineered and supported as a long-life product, with a UK service network. Budget plates are not. If you expect to own this for fifteen years or you are putting it in front of paying clients, that matters a great deal.
Brand research depth. Power Plate’s research portfolio is deeper than any budget competitor’s. For a clinician who needs to point at published work, that has real value. For a home user it does not change what happens in a session.
What it does not buy. Better outcomes at the same settings. Published whole-body vibration protocols for bone density, weight loss and balance mostly use frequencies in the 25 to 40 Hz band, and that band is available on plates costing a fraction of this. We are not aware of a head-to-head trial comparing the MOVE against a budget plate, so nobody can honestly tell you the MOVE produces more, or that it produces the same. That study does not exist.
Who should buy one
- Physiotherapists, clinics and rehabilitation settings buying for patient use
- Personal trainers and studios where the equipment is seen by clients
- Buyers who want a serviceable, long-life machine and are not price constrained
Who should look elsewhere
- Most home users. The Bluefin 4D Triple Motor sits around £320 on offer and covers the same frequency band
- Anyone who wants fine frequency control, which the six-preset MOVE does not offer
- Anyone whose budget would be better spent on coaching, a gym membership or a physiotherapy course of treatment
